Police Arrest 2 Baba’s 33-Year-Old Native Doctor With Charms (PHOTOS)

Detectives from the Rivers State Police Command have successfully apprehended a suspected witch doctor known for crafting charms for the notorious cult leader, Gift David Okpara, alias 2 Baba, and his gang responsible for the murder of late DPO SP Bako Angbashim of the Ahoada East Divisional Police Station.

The capture of this alleged charmer linked to the wanted 2 Baba and his gang appears to have been facilitated by the confessions of certain members of the gang.

According to sources close to the Police Command, the suspected native doctor hails from Sii Community in Khana Local Government Area of Ogoniland and is 33 years old. He was apprehended on Wednesday, September 27, along Odereimini road in Ahoada East.

He professes to be the Chief Priest of the Esien Diety, an ancient deity. Despite being of Ogoni ethnicity, he has resided in Ahoada for an extended period.

This breakthrough likely owes itself to the relentless pursuit and arrest of several gang members by the diligent detectives.

It’s worth noting that one of the recently apprehended gang members vividly described the alleged charmer of the wanted 2 Baba and his associates in a video that circulated widely. He stated that the charmer was a native doctor originating from the Ogoni region of the state.

While the police have not officially commented on the development, images of the suspected charmer have circulated on various platforms.

Superintendent of Police Bako Angbashim met his demise on September 8, 2023, during a police operation targeting members of a notorious cult gang at Odiemude community in Ahoada East local government Area of the state.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara promptly placed a ₦100 million bounty on the gang leader, Gift Okpara, popularly known as 2Baba. The police added an additional N1 million and officially declared members of the gang as wanted.

It appears that the capture of key members of his gang, and now the suspected charmer, may bring the pursuit of 2 Baba to a swifter conclusion than anticipated.

Just last week, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Olugbenga Adepoju, representing CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka, Commissioner of Police Rivers State, assured that the command would arrest the most wanted cult kingpin, 2 Baba.
