Omo Agege Oborevwori

The Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has affirmed the victory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18 election.

Presided over by Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu, the three-member tribunal dismissed the petition lodged by former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The tribunal determined that the petition lacked substantiated claims, emphasizing that it lacked merit and was based on speculation.

Omo-Agege, who secured second place in the March 18 election, contested the declaration of Oborevwori as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In the meantime, verdicts are still being delivered in the cases involving Labour Party (LP) vs. PDP and Social Democratic Party (SDP) vs. PDP.
