Police Recruitment: 643 Applicants Apply In Edo State

Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, shared this information with journalists on Thursday at the aptitude test centers in Benin City.

Adegboye emphasized to the applicants the importance of refraining from offering money to anyone to facilitate their employment process.

“I am conveying the message from the Inspector General of Police, IG Kayode Egbetokun, that you should not engage in giving money to anyone to secure a position in the police force,” he stated. “Joining the police force is an open process. Once you pass this examination, you are eligible for recruitment.”

He reiterated the stance of the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, IG Solomon Arase (rtd), emphasizing that police recruitment is transparent and not subject to bribery or corruption.

The Commissioner further indicated that 90 percent of the applicants are deemed qualified and physically fit to join the Police Force. He assured that those who successfully pass the aptitude and medical tests will be duly recruited.
