Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Tinubu, made this known while briefing State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The recent ban on foreign trips, effective from April 1, 2024, is part of a broader strategy to curtail government spending and uphold fiscal discipline.

Ngelale emphasized that Tinubu’s objective is to achieve significant cost savings for the government while demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility and prioritizing service delivery over extravagant expenditures.

Furthermore, Ngelale highlighted Tinubu’s call for Nigerians to support locally made products and services as a means to stimulate the economy and maintain the value of the Naira.

He also underscored the President’s crackdown on fraudulent activities in cryptocurrency trading and the foreign exchange market, urging citizens to report any illegal practices.

Ngelale affirmed that the government’s decisive actions against cryptocurrency trading platforms and sharp practices within the parallel foreign exchange market are beginning to yield positive results
