Contrary to speculations, a top official at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre where Bobrisky is held disclosed that the crossdresser did not undergo any gender-affirming surgery. Upon admission, Bobrisky was examined, and no realignment of gender or genital organs was discovered.

The official clarified that Bobrisky shares the same cell with male inmates and adheres to the rules and procedures of the facility. Despite claims of preferential treatment or protection, Bobrisky follows the same regulations as other inmates and is subject to the same disciplinary measures.

Addressing concerns about potential abuse, the official emphasized that any form of abuse, particularly regarding homosexuality, is strictly prohibited in the custodial center. Inmates found violating these rules will face legal consequences.

Bobrisky’s case has sparked public interest and raised questions about gender identity and treatment in correctional facilities. However, according to the prison official, Bobrisky’s experience aligns with standard procedures and protocols observed for all inmates.
