Prominent Yobe Monarch Is Dead

Talba revealed that the monarch breathed his last in Potiskum around 4 pm on Friday, noting that he was over 70 years old. As a prince of the Tikau Emirate Council, Talba stated that his brother would be laid to rest on Saturday, following Islamic customs.

“He was over 70 years old at the time of his death,” Talba remarked. Emir Ibn-Grema served as the paramount ruler of the Karekare people for 23 years after assuming the throne in 2005.

In another unfortunate incident, Isa Dongoyaro, a prominent Federal Lawmaker representing Garki/Babura Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the House of Representatives, has also passed away. The spokesperson for the House of Representatives, Hon. Akin Rotimi, confirmed Dongoyaro’s demise in a statement issued on Friday. Rotimi revealed that the Jigawa lawmaker breathed his last in Abuja on Friday after battling a brief illness.
