Initial reports indicated that Amololo became trapped in an underground drainage system in the Onipanu area of the state while involved in debris cleaning operations.

Despite extensive search and rescue operations spanning five days, the efforts sadly culminated in the recovery of Amololo’s lifeless body from the underground drainage tunnel.

Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), provided an update, stating that the recovered body was promptly bagged and handed over to LAMATA Drain Ducks.

Following this tragic incident, LASEMA emphasized the importance of implementing enhanced safety measures in the operations of drain ducks to prevent similar accidents in the future.
