The new policy, revealed at the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Cape Town, includes issuing five-year multiple-entry visas to qualifying Nigerian businesspeople and allowing Nigerian tourists to apply for visas without submitting their passports. Nigerian President Bola Tinubu attended the event where these changes were unveiled.

Ramaphosa explained, “Our efforts to create a favorable environment included simplifying the visa process for Nigerian businesspeople. Qualifying individuals are now granted a five-year multiple-entry visa.
