In an interview on the “Mic On Podcast” hosted by Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television, Omokri contended that Obi’s governance record was lacking in tangible achievements. He challenged anyone to identify a school that Obi initiated, completed, and commissioned during his time as governor, offering a reward of $10,000 for such evidence.

Obi served as the governor of Anambra from June 2007 to March 2014 and was the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections. However, Omokri asserted that Obi’s performance fell short, comparing him unfavorably even to local government officials in terms of accomplishments.

Moreover, Omokri suggested that Obi was the least educationally qualified among the top three presidential candidates in the 2023 elections. He emphasized Obi’s perceived lack of achievement while in office compared to other contenders like Tinubu and Atiku.

Omokri’s remarks underscore a critical assessment of Obi’s governance legacy and raise questions about his suitability for higher political offices.
