In a statement released by Governor Ododo, the decision to conduct elections in Okitipupa follows logistical challenges that led to the postponement of the exercise in the area. With a total of 9,515 validated registered members, the committee aims to ensure a fair and transparent election process.

The violence that erupted on Saturday at Ward 1, Stella Maris College, Okitipupa, between rival supporters of two APC governorship aspirants, led to chaos and the delay of the accreditation and election process. Accredited party members had to disperse as the situation became volatile.

The primary election committee is focused on addressing the challenges faced and ensuring that the electoral process proceeds smoothly. After the elections are conducted, the final collation of results will follow.
