Governor Adeleke Captivates Guests With Dance Moves at Davido’s Miami Wedding
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, drew widespread attention on Sunday as he took to the dance floor during the lavish wedding ceremony of his nephew and award-winning Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, in Miami, United States.
Dressed in a striking blue and white traditional outfit, Governor Adeleke showcased his signature energetic dance steps, delighting guests and earning cheers from those capturing the moment on their phones. Videos of his performance quickly gained traction on social media, with many praising the governor’s lively presence at the high-profile event.
Adeleke had travelled to the U.S. earlier last week ahead of the wedding festivities between Davido and his longtime partner, Chioma, which drew celebrities, dignitaries, and prominent figures from Nigeria and abroad.
In a separate development, a 32-year-old man, Rasaq Gafar, was arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly issuing threats against Governor Adeleke on social media. Prosecutors alleged that Gafar, on July 12, posted messages threatening the governor’s life and acting in a manner likely to cause public disorder.
The defendant pleaded for bail through his counsel, Marvelous Ojeleye, and Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi granted bail in the sum of ₦2.5 million with two sureties—one of whom must own a landed property and another who must be a blood relative. The case was adjourned to November 13 for hearing.
