Bale Mohammed Shakes Up Bauchi Cabinet, Sacks Commissioners In Major Reshuffle

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has announced a major reshuffle of the State Executive Council as part of efforts to improve governance and enhance service delivery across the state.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, two commissioners have been relieved of their appointments, while the resignation of another member of the cabinet has been accepted.

The statement revealed that the Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Investment, Mohammed Salis Gamawa, and Dr Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam, who previously served as Commissioner for Education before being moved to the Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, have both exited the State Executive Council with immediate effect.

Governor Mohammed also approved the resignation of Hon. Faruk Mustapha, who served as the Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties.

According to the statement, the cabinet changes were aimed at strengthening the administration and ensuring more effective delivery of government programmes across Bauchi State.

The governor has forwarded the names of proposed replacements, alongside other nominees to fill vacant positions in the State Executive Council, to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Governor Bala Mohammed appreciated the outgoing commissioners for their service and contributions to the development of the state, while wishing them success in their future endeavours.
