Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that it is too early to draw conclusions about the government’s overall performance.

According to Ireporter Online, Kosoko made the appeal during an interview, where he compared governing a nation to constructing a building, arguing that a project should only be evaluated after it has been completed.

The respected actor explained that just as no one can accurately assess the quality of a building while construction is still ongoing, it would be unfair to pass final judgment on the current administration before it has fully implemented its policies and programmes.

Kosoko also emphasized that President Tinubu, like every human being, is not perfect and should not be expected to perform without flaws. He noted that no leader possesses absolute perfection, urging citizens to adopt a more balanced perspective when assessing the government’s actions.

The actor further alleged that some opposition figures and activists are shaping public opinion against the administration, particularly among younger Nigerians. He claimed that many members of Generation Z are being influenced by narratives crafted by government critics, making them more likely to adopt negative views about the presidency without independent assessment.

While expressing support for the Tinubu administration, Kosoko acknowledged the difficult economic realities confronting many Nigerians. He admitted that citizens are experiencing significant hardship but maintained that the government should be given adequate time to deliver on its promises before its performance is conclusively judged.
