2027: Updated List Of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far

According to Ireporter Online, the list is largely dominated by serving governors nearing the end of their tenures, former governors, and incumbent lawmakers who secured nominations in their respective constituencies.

However, candidates are yet to emerge in several senatorial districts as some primary elections remain inconclusive, pending, or have been postponed due to internal party disputes, zoning disagreements, logistical constraints, and other administrative challenges.

Below is the breakdown of APC senatorial candidates who have so far emerged across the federation:

In Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu emerged as the APC candidate for Abia North, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jr for Abia South, and Emeka Atuma for Abia Central.

In Adamawa, Umaru Fintiri clinched the ticket for Adamawa North, while Felix Tangwami emerged for Adamawa South.

In Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio secured the ticket for Akwa Ibom North-West, Aniekan Bassey for North-East, and Ekong Sampson for the South.

In Anambra, Nelson Onubuogu emerged for Anambra North, Kene Chiedu Ngozi Benedicta for Anambra Central, and Chibuogu Oraelusi for Anambra South.

In Bauchi, Yakubu Abdullahi emerged for Bauchi South and Ibrahim Baba for Bauchi North.

In Bayelsa, Fidelis Agbiki secured the Bayelsa West ticket, Friday Kombowei Benson for Central, and Israel Sunny-Goli for East.

In Benue, Dave Padopads-Awunah emerged for Benue North-West, Gabriel Suswam for North-East, and Francis Agbo for Benue South.

In Borno, Kaka Shehu clinched the ticket for Borno Central, Ali Ndume for South, and Tahir Monguno for North.

In Cross River, Jarigbe Jarigbe emerged for Cross River North, Oden Ewa for Central, and Asuquo Ekpenyong for South.

In Delta State, Ede Dafinone emerged for Delta Central, Ifeanyi Okowa for Delta North, and Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for Delta South.

In Edo, Adams Oshiomhole secured Edo North, Joseph Ikpea for Central, and Ogbeide-Ihama Omoregie for South.

In Ekiti, Opeyemi Bamidele emerged for Ekiti Central, Cyril Fasuyi for North, and Yemi Adaramodu for South.

In Enugu, Osita Ngwu clinched Enugu West, Kelvin Chukwu for East, and Ikeje Asogwa for North.

In Imo, Alex Mbata secured Imo East, Hope Uzodimma for West, and Patrick Ndubueze for North.
