Former aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Mahmud Sadis Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, has officially withdrawn from the contest.

According to a statement issued by the politician on Saturday, the decision followed extensive consultations with his family, political associates, and key stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Buba described the move as a difficult one but said it was necessitated by ongoing reconciliation efforts initiated by party leaders to foster unity ahead of the general election.

He explained that his withdrawal takes immediate effect and expressed gratitude to Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, and the state leadership of the APC for giving him the opportunity to participate in the party’s nomination process.

The former aspirant urged his supporters to remain calm and united, while encouraging them to fully support the party’s eventual candidate for the constituency.

Buba stated that his decision was taken in the overall interest of the APC and to strengthen cohesion within the party as preparations intensify for the election.

His withdrawal comes amid public discussions surrounding allegations of age discrepancies linked to documents circulating online, although no official indictment has been made against him.

Buba had recently appeared before APC screening officials, where he stated that he is 30 years old, the eldest of nine siblings, and entered the race following appeals from members of his community who urged him to seek public office.
