The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a Kano-based man, Rabiu Auwalu Tijjani, wanted over alleged involvement in serious financial crimes.
This announcement was made via the EFCC’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday. According to the notice, Tijjani is being sought for offenses including conspiracy, obtaining funds under false pretences, and laundering approximately $1.93 million.
The 43-year-old suspect hails from Dala Local Government Area of Kano State. His last known residence was listed as 59 Murtala Muhammed Way, Kano.
The anti-graft agency urged members of the public with any information on his whereabouts to come forward. Citizens can report tips directly to EFCC offices nationwide, call 08093322644, send an email to info@efcc.gov.ng, or inform the nearest police station or any security agency.
The appeal, signed by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, emphasized the need for public support in locating Tijjani as part of its wider anti-corruption mandate.
