In a recent interview on the Mic On podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, Omokri reaffirmed his loyalty to Atiku, highlighting his previous recommendation of Peter Obi as Atiku’s running mate for the 2019 presidential election.

Omokri emphasized that he played a pivotal role in suggesting Peter Obi to Atiku when the latter sought assistance in choosing a running mate. Despite his recognition of some of Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, Omokri remains steadfast in his support for Atiku.

He explained, “Peter Obi can’t deny that I was the one who recommended him to Waziri Atiku Abubakar when he asked me to help choose a running mate in 2019. … If Atiku decides to contest in 2027 and becomes the PDP’s presidential candidate, I’m duty-bound to support him.”

This declaration underscores Omokri’s unwavering commitment to Atiku, grounded in gratitude for the trust placed in him during the 2019 election.
