During a ceremony in Awka, Chief Adedoye shared how he founded an investment company with some of his Facebook connections, which has now grown to an estimated worth of N20 billion.

Addressing the controversy surrounding his involvement in such a lucrative venture while still in service, Chief Adedoye appeared on Arise News TV to provide clarity on the matter.

He emphasized his dedication to duty during his tenure, highlighting his recognition by the people of Anambra State with two chieftaincy titles and a street named after him.

Regarding the operations of the investment outfit, named Alfa Trust Investment Club, Chief Adedoye explained its structure and membership criteria. The organization primarily focuses on legal investments and does not engage in business activities. Membership is open to Nigerians worldwide with visible means of livelihood, subject to thorough background checks.

Chief Adedoye refuted claims of operating a Ponzi scheme, asserting that the outfit’s funds are used for legitimate investments, including shares in the Nigeria Stock Exchange and properties in various estates across the country. He clarified that the organization operates transparently, with accounts approved at annual general meetings and no external auditors invited.

Highlighting the diverse membership base and the absence of any individual billionaire within the club, Chief Adedoye emphasized that the success of the venture lies in collective efforts rather than individual wealth accumulation.
