The affected aircraft, a twin-engine Boeing 737-800, reportedly encountered a loud engine malfunction. No injuries have been reported, and Qantas has not disclosed the number of passengers on board.

Qantas Chief Pilot, Captain Richard Tobiano, stated, “We understand this would have been a distressing experience for customers, and we will be reaching out to all passengers this afternoon to offer support. We will also conduct a full investigation into the engine issue.”
