Salimon Oladiti Takes Over As NUPENG President
According to Ireporter Online, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has elected Salimon Oladiti as its new President. Oladiti, who previously served as a National Trustee of the union, emerged as the new leader during the organisation’s 6th Quadrennial Delegates Conference held in Lagos on Friday.
The conference also produced Akin Oladejo, a former Chairman of the Oil and Gas Supply branch, as the new Deputy President of the union. The leadership transition marks a new phase for the union as it continues its representation of workers in the petroleum and gas sector.
