Anozie Ikemba Shines Bright With New Release ‘Sisi Acada

According to Ireporter Online, ace drummer, guitarist, and music producer Anozie Ikemba has released a new single titled “Sisi Acada”, which has continued to generate strong reactions from listeners who describe it as an instant hit.

The track, which blends a pulsating Afro-highlife rhythm with a smooth Yoruba vocal delivery, has been praised for its rich sound quality and easy listening appeal. Produced by renowned Nigerian music producer Femi Ojetunde, the single reflects a refined production style that highlights Ikemba’s musical artistry and creative depth.

Ikemba revealed that “Sisi Acada” is not a newly written piece, but a composition dating back to his university days at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State. He noted that he received early encouragement from veteran playwright Prof. Femi Osofisan during his time as a student.

Reports recall that during his university years, Ikemba often performed the song live with his acoustic guitar around the Tuck Shop near the drama theatre, where he became a familiar figure among students of that era.

Following his time at UI, Ikemba remained active in Nigeria’s music and arts scene, performing with several bands before relocating abroad, first to South Africa and later to the United States. In the US, he reportedly composed a tribute song for Bangor, Maine, his city of residence, which later gained popularity as a community anthem and further boosted his recognition.

He is currently working towards releasing additional songs, with plans underway to compile new materials into an extended play (EP) project.
