Sapele Road Protest: Concerned Edo South Citizens Thanks Hon Valentine Asuen
.Describes his interventions, identification and Solidarity with protesters at Sapele Road as the much-needed amplification that got NPDC to action.
Following the pleasant revelation that the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company, NPDC have volunteered to mobilise to commence rehabilitation work on the deplorable Sapele Road, a group under the aegis of Concerned Edo South Citizens has expressed their appreciation to the Edo South Senatorial Candidate, Hon Valentine Asuen for his identification and Solidarity with protesters at Sapele Road.
In a personal message sent to Hon Valentine Asuen, the group lauded his interventions as the much-needed amplification that the protest needed stating that while other well-meaning Edolites were shying away from the protest, He set the pace by abandoning his daily schedules to not only join the protest but also in bringing to the protest venue, a retinue of top Broadcast Media houses in Nigeria like Arise TV, Television Continental (TVC), AIT, Channels TV and ITV with other print media/social media blogs. This helped in giving the protest wide coverage and in ventilating the pain and plight of the people to the Federal Government.
While thanking the NPDC for volunteering to fix the Road and bring respite to the sufferings of the people, They affirmed their unassailable belief in his personality, leadership, capacity and people-oriented disposition and expressed their unwavering support for his Senatorial ambition.
It would be recalled that Hon Valentine Asuen earlier this week defied the unfavourable weather and the attempts by sponsored hoodlums to hijack the peaceful protest and called on the Federal government in loud and clear terms to come to rehabilitate the deplorable Sapele Road that had been a nightmare to road users.
The negative interpretation of spin doctors regardless of their retrogressive campaigns of calumny, Hon Valentine Asuen is undeterred and is resolute in adding his voice to courses that would impact positively on the lives of the people. The reason why he desires to be the voice of the Edo South people at the Senate.
