Actress Scarlet Gomez has spoken about the challenges of public perception, stating that being a good person does not necessarily ensure that others will see one accurately.

According to Ireporter Online, Gomez made the remarks in a post shared on her Instagram page, where she noted that people often form opinions based on personal biases rather than facts or direct experiences.

She explained that in some cases, individuals intentionally damage others’ reputations out of frustration, especially when they are unable to influence or control them. The actress also highlighted how false narratives can spread rapidly and eventually be accepted as truth, even without any personal interaction with the individual involved.

Gomez further stated that repeated misinformation has the power to undermine years of hard work and tarnish a person’s image, adding that individuals have little control over stories they did not create. However, she emphasized the importance of self-awareness and personal identity in the face of public opinion.

She urged people to remain grounded in their values regardless of rumours, stressing that understanding one’s true self should take precedence over external narratives.

In her words, she lamented that people often believe stories without meeting those involved, noting that repeated lies can begin to feel like the truth and cause lasting damage. Despite this, she maintained that individuals should focus on who they are, as that should ultimately be enough.
