Kwara APC Hands INEC Form To Governorship Candidate

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially presented the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form to its governorship candidate, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, ahead of the forthcoming elections.

According to reports, the presentation took place on Tuesday at the party’s state secretariat in Ilorin and was conducted by the Kwara APC Chairman, Sunday Fagbemi.

Speaking after receiving the nomination form, Danladi-Salihu, who also serves as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, expressed appreciation to the party’s leadership and stakeholders for entrusting him with the ticket.

He specifically acknowledged President Bola Tinubu, the APC national leadership, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, party executives, ward leaders and other stakeholders for their confidence and support throughout the selection process.

The governorship candidate also praised fellow aspirants who participated in the party’s primary election, describing the exercise as transparent and democratic. He stressed that the APC remained one united family and expressed confidence that ongoing reconciliation efforts would further strengthen the party ahead of the governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

Danladi-Salihu assured party members that he would justify the confidence placed in him if elected, pledging to work inclusively and ensure every stakeholder is carried along in the party’s preparations for the polls.

Earlier at the event, APC Chairman Sunday Fagbemi appealed to party members to refrain from making inflammatory comments on social media that could undermine the ongoing reconciliation process. He urged members to remain disciplined, united and committed to securing victory in the forthcoming elections.

The ceremony was attended by party leaders, executives, stakeholders and supporters, who gathered to witness the formal presentation of the INEC nomination form to the party’s governorship candidate.
