Nesta, a 2006 World Cup champion with Italy, had a brief tenure, managing just 20 games across all competitions since his appointment in July.

In an official statement, Monza expressed gratitude towards Nesta for his contributions and wished him well in his future endeavors.

Replacing Nesta will be former Italy international Salvatore Bocchetti, who has signed a contract through 2027. At 38, this marks Bocchetti’s first senior managerial position after serving as an assistant at Verona and working with the club’s reserves and youth teams.

Monza has struggled this season, claiming only one victory in 17 league matches, putting them at risk of relegation to Serie B.
