Stolen Assets, Stolen Aid: Edo Recovers Govt Vehicles

The Chairman of the Edo State Government’s Vehicle Recovery Committee, Kelly Okungbowa, has revealed that over 200 government vehicles are unaccounted for. Shockingly, one of the recovered buses contained palliatives meant for Edo residents, including bags of garri and rice (10kg and 25kg). Okungbowa emphasized that these items were intended for public distribution and called for citizens to provide additional information, assuring whistleblowers of substantial rewards for verified tips.

“This property belongs to the Edo people, and it’s unacceptable for individuals to claim government assets as their own. Our committee is committed to recovering all missing vehicles and ensuring justice,” Okungbowa stated.

He also appealed to the public for further cooperation to locate the remaining vehicles, stressing the need for accountability and transparency.
