Ireporter reports  highlights that testimonies of “miraculous” financial alerts are common in many Nigerian churches. However, Obi argued that God blesses hard work, productivity, and industry—not idleness.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, he stated, “God can bless someone’s work and productivity, but not laziness. Anyone claiming they received an alert after praying should be arrested because it’s likely someone else’s money.”

On the same podcast, Peter Obi expressed his belief that women are generally less corrupt than men, citing their family-oriented values as a key factor. He shared that during his governorship in Anambra State, he appointed women to prominent roles, attributing their strong family values to more ethical governance.

“Women are generally less corrupt than men. With their family-oriented mindset, they’re often more committed to seeing things work well,” Obi said, noting that his Chief of Staff and key commissioners were women during his tenure.
