In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, revealed that the attempted vandalism was foiled by vigilant community members. Around 3 a.m., locals noticed suspicious activity near the tower, leading them to apprehend one of the suspects while others fled. The captured vandal was subsequently handed over to the police.
Commending the swift response of the villagers, Mbah urged other communities hosting critical infrastructure to take similar protective measures.
“TCN appreciates the people of Watuolo village for their prompt action and vigilance.
