President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress at the State House in Abuja.

According to credible media reports, the meeting, which was initially slated for 4 p.m. at the Council Chamber, commenced about an hour later after it was relocated to the conference room within the President’s office.

Governors in attendance include Babagana Zulum, Hope Uzodimma, Inuwa Yahaya, Hyacinth Alia, Biodun Oyebanji, Peter Mbah, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, while some states are being represented by their deputy governors.

As of the time of filing this report, the agenda of the meeting had not been disclosed, prompting widespread speculation over the matters under deliberation.

The development follows closely on the heels of a separate emergency closed-door session between President Tinubu and the leadership of the Senate. Speaking after that engagement, Senate Majority Leader Opeyemi Bamidele disclosed that significant decisions were reached on issues of pressing national concern.

He noted that the resolutions were in line with outcomes from a prior executive session of the Senate, although specific details were not made public.

Observers note that the series of high-level consultations signals ongoing strategic engagements within both the government and the ruling party, as key national issues continue to command urgent attention.
