Speaking in Ilawe Ekiti during the Unity Day celebration and a fundraiser for the community’s teaching hospital annex, Adaramodu noted that many criticisms of the bills stem from misinformation, stating:

“A tax reform bill that excludes low-income earners and eliminates multiple taxation cannot be considered retrogressive. Let Nigerians present their views at the public hearing. The National Assembly will base its position on the aggregate of these contributions.”

Adaramodu added that the proposed reforms, including adjustments to Value Added Tax (VAT), aim to enhance equity by directing benefits to high-tax-contributing regions.

Meanwhile, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Alabi, commended recent developments in his community, highlighting projects like the federal college of education, improved road networks, and ongoing hospital construction.
