Black Market Exchange Rate for Dollar to Naira Today (Aboki Dollar Rate):
As of March 24th, 2024, at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market), the buying rate for a dollar stands at N1455, while the selling rate is N1460, as per information obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) sources.
Kindly note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not endorse the black market (parallel market) exchange rates, directing individuals involved in Forex transactions to liaise with their respective banks.

Price Update: 5kg Cooking Gas Averaged at N6,154.50 in February – NBS
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has observed a surge in the price of cooking gas in Nigeria. In February 2024, the average cost for 5kg of cooking gas rose to N6,154.50, marking a 19.75 percent increase from January 2023 and a 33.78 percent escalation from February 2023.
This uptick signifies mounting financial strain on households nationwide.
Based on the NBS’s “Cooking Gas Price Watch” for February 2024, Lagos State recorded the highest average price for 5kg of cooking gas at N6,820.00, closely followed by Imo and Anambra states.
On the other hand, Yobe State witnessed the lowest average price, with Kebbi and Adamawa also reporting relatively lower figures.
Regionally, the South-East exhibited the highest average price at N6,616.57 for 5kg of cooking gas, with the South-West trailing closely behind.
In contrast, the North-Central zone recorded the lowest average price at N5,723.02.
