A Legacy of Leadership and Service

Born on December 2, 1965, Onanuga was celebrated as a visionary leader and dedicated public servant. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.

During the 9th Assembly, she served as Chair of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, where she passionately championed women’s empowerment and social welfare initiatives. Reelected in 2023, she rose to the role of Deputy Chief Whip in the 10th Assembly, earning widespread respect for her exceptional leadership and commitment to legislative excellence.

In a statement by House Spokesperson Rep. Akin Rotimi, Onanuga was praised for her intellect, humility, and tireless dedication to public service.

“Her impactful contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape reflected her unwavering passion for creating a better society.
