In a recent development, the Nigerian Army announced the successful neutralization of terrorists and disruption of extremist operations in Kaduna State. According to the Army’s statement, troops acted on actionable intelligence, pinpointing Basurfe village as a key administrative hub for the terrorists southwest of Kidandan. Despite encountering an ambush, the troops demonstrated tactical prowess, forcing the insurgents to disperse.

During the engagement, troops intercepted fleeing terrorists on motorbikes, resulting in the neutralization of two extremists. Additionally, the operation led to the confiscation of two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, and a motorbike.

Further advancing their mission, troops uncovered the insurgents’ administrative refuge on a strategic high ground. Launching a decisive assault, they seized significant resources, including a Semi-Automatic Pump-action rifle, ammunition, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), communication equipment, and medical supplies.

This successful operation underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to combating terrorism and safeguarding communities in Kaduna State.
