Despite assurances from President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, regarding the safe recovery of the abducted children, their return remains elusive.
In a bid to address the escalating insecurity and expedite the rescue efforts, Governor Sani convened an emergency meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with traditional rulers and heads of security agencies at the Government House.
The meeting aimed to strategize on rescuing the abducted students and devise comprehensive security measures to combat the prevailing threats in the state.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Governor Sani reiterated his unwavering commitment to securing the safe return of the abducted children and restoring peace in Kaduna State.
He emphasized the urgent need to identify and neutralize informants aiding the criminal elements within local communities, calling for collective vigilance and cooperation in rooting out these evil elements.
Governor Sani commended the support and empathy shown by President Tinubu in addressing the crisis, underscoring the determination of all stakeholders to combat the scourge of insecurity and ensure the safety and well-being of the abducted children.
As the search and rescue efforts continue, the resolve of the government and security agencies remains steadfast, with a unified commitment to bringing the abducted school children back home safely and restoring peace and stability in the region.
