In a statement by his media aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his election as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. He described the election as a pivotal moment, ushering in a new chapter of unity, progress, and development for the organization.

Atiku praised the South East Governors’ Forum for their exemplary leadership in ensuring a free, fair, and smooth transition in the Ohanaeze leadership.

He highlighted the significance of alliances formed during the election despite participants’ political differences. “This alliance shows that unity and progress are achievable regardless of diversity,” Atiku noted.
