Effiong Harrison, Customs Area Controller (CAC), hailed the achievement as historic during a weekend statement. “This is the highest revenue ever generated in the command’s history,” he noted.

Unprecedented Growth and Milestones

The command recorded a 20% revenue surge, surpassing its target by an impressive N14.77 billion. July 2024 emerged as a standout month, with a record-breaking N12 billion collected—the highest monthly revenue ever.

Comparing year-over-year performance, Harrison highlighted a staggering 135% growth. In 2024, the command generated N41.1 billion more than the N30.5 billion achieved in 2023.

“I attribute this success to the commitment, dedication, and high operational standards upheld by the officers,” Harrison said, commending his team’s efforts.

The CAC extended appreciation to Comptroller-General Bashir Adeniyi and other key stakeholders for their unwavering support, emphasizing their critical role in this success story.

As the MMIA Command sets its sights on 2025, Harrison urged his team to maintain their momentum and commitment to excellence, ensuring even greater milestones in revenue generation.
