According to a chilling account by medical doctor Yemoka Adunola, shared via social media, the victim fell while waiting in the queue with his wife. Before he could regain his footing, the surging crowd inadvertently trampled him, resulting in his untimely demise.

“A man just died in my hospital,” Dr. Adunola’s post read. “He was stamped on after falling at the customs office trying to get rice. He was on the queue with his wife when he fell down and couldn’t get up on time, which resulted in people stamping on him. So sad. Survived by very young children.”
