Ondo State Attorney-General Clarifies Why He Appoints 273 Lawyers As Aides
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Olukayode Ajulo, has provided clarification regarding his decision to appoint 273 lawyers as aides. In a statement released on Saturday, Ajulo explained that the appointed lawyers, comprising both seasoned professionals and junior colleagues, would serve as honorary and technical advisers. He emphasized that their role is to provide ideas and support to the Office of the Attorney-General in serving the government and people of Ondo State effectively.
The Attorney-General described the terms of engagement for the advisers as innovative, aiming to promote excellence and ethical legal services in Ondo State. He mentioned that the appointees, who come from diverse backgrounds including law practice, government, academia, and social work, have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
Ajulo further stated that the names of the appointees would be disclosed soon, highlighting their collective commitment to reinforcing the vision of the Office of the Attorney-General to become the premier public law office in Nigeria.
The appointments reflect Ajulo’s intention to leverage the expertise of legal professionals to address legal challenges and uphold the rule of law in Ondo State.
