Tragic Incident: Teenage Girl Electrocuted In Ogun

Reports indicate that during a power outage in the compound, the girl ventured to fetch water. Unfortunately, power was restored while she was still at the well. It is alleged that the teenager was electrocuted by a live cable connected to the pumping machine inside the well.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the girl’s death, stating that a doctor on duty had verified it. According to Odutola, the incident was reported to the Divisional Police Officer of Lafenwa by Onyekachi Silas, who explained that his brother’s wife’s younger sister, the deceased, lived with them.

The tragic event has sparked an investigation, and the girl’s body has been deposited at the Oke Lantoro morgue. This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety precautions, especially during power outages.
