He suggested that Kwankwaso’s chances could potentially improve if the ruling APC were to open its doors for him to return and mend his relationship with the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Lukman emphasized that the corruption allegations against Ganduje in Kano have political implications and require a political solution.

He insisted that Ganduje’s challenges stem from his conflict with Kwankwaso, urging for a political approach to resolve the situation.

Lukman stressed the need for the APC to address internal issues and rebuild the party, emphasizing that the current state of affairs within the party requires attention beyond the Ganduje matter in Kano.

Regarding Kwankwaso’s presidential ambition, Lukman expressed skepticism, suggesting that achieving such a goal would require extensive efforts and negotiations that may extend beyond Kwankwaso’s lifetime.

He proposed fast-tracking the process by opening the APC for Kwankwaso’s return, facilitating the renegotiation of relationships with Ganduje and other leaders, and bringing in new forces to instill confidence in the party among Nigerians.
