Yobo, who captained the national team to their third AFCON title in 2013, is optimistic that the current squad has what it takes to secure a fourth title. He pointed to the team’s young, talented players and their growing chemistry as key factors for success.

“The group of players we have now is full of promise and cohesion, which is crucial for our performance,” Yobo said after the draw in Rabat. He also noted the Super Eagles’ strong performance in the last AFCON, where they reached the final, as a sign that the team can build on that momentum.

Yobo is confident that the Super Eagles will navigate the group stages smoothly. “Historically, we’ve been strong in the group phase, so I’m positive about our prospects. While the knockout rounds may bring challenges, especially if we meet the hosts, anything can happen in knockout football,” he added.
