Sh*ck Exit: Akinwumi Steps Down As ADC Secretary
The Secretary of the African Democratic Congress in Ekiti State, Segun Akinwumi, has resigned from his position with immediate effect. According to credible reports, Akinwumi conveyed his decision in a letter addressed to the state chairman of the party, citing personal reasons for stepping down.
In the correspondence, which became public on Sunday, the former secretary expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve the party, acknowledging the trust and confidence reposed in him by its leadership throughout his tenure. He also extended gratitude to party leaders and members for their support during his time in office, noting that he was honoured to contribute to the party’s growth in the state.
Akinwumi further indicated his willingness to serve again if called upon in the future, despite his decision to vacate the role. He urged members of the party to remain united and committed, calling on supporters to work collectively towards ensuring the success of the party’s candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State.
