2027: Tinubu’s Achievements Will Secure His Second Term – Kwankwaso Says

The Executive Director of Finance at the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has outlined reasons why Nigerians will support President Bola Tinubu’s reelection bid in 2027.…..READ MORE

Backing the recent assertion by APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, that Aso Rock remains occupied until 2031, Kwankwaso emphasized that Tinubu’s second-term ambition is non-negotiable.

The former Kano Commissioner for Rural Development and a key grassroots mobilizer affirmed that, with or without the backing of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Tinubu will secure reelection.

“No political maneuvering will prevent Tinubu from receiving overwhelming support in Northern Nigeria during the next presidential election,” the APC chieftain declared.

Ganduje had earlier insisted that the North owes Tinubu electoral support in the interest of fairness, following the power shift from former President Muhammadu Buhari. However, this stance has stirred opposition among some northern political elites.

Defending Ganduje’s position, Kwankwaso criticized the ACF, arguing that the forum lacks the political relevance to influence decisions in the North.

“Most of those in the Arewa Forum held power for decades but failed to uplift the North. Is it now, when it’s too late, that they want to defend the region? It’s no longer business as usual,” he remarked.

He also dismissed the influence of figures such as Solomon Dalung, Najaatu Muhammad, and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, stating they have little to show for their time in leadership.

According to Kwankwaso, Tinubu’s contributions to Northern Nigeria within a few months surpass those of many past leaders, making him the right choice for continued governance beyond 2027.

“Northern Nigeria is now a construction hub with numerous ongoing projects initiated by President Tinubu, with even more in the pipeline. By the time he returns in 2027, his impact will be undeniable,” he stated.

Praising Ganduje’s leadership, Kwankwaso highlighted the APC’s growing dominance, citing the party’s victories in rerun elections and the defection of several National Assembly members to the ruling party.

“Tinubu’s vision to revamp the economy and drive infrastructural development has won the hearts of many Nigerians. His reelection in 2027 is inevitable,” he concluded.
