32 Kaduna General Hospitals Not Renovated In Last 20 Years – Governor Sani

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has revealed that the state’s 32 general hospitals have not undergone renovation in the past 20 years. Governor Sani outlined plans to remodel, reconstruct, and reequip six of these hospitals in the first phase of the project. These hospitals, two from each of the three senatorial zones, will undergo a comprehensive overhaul to improve healthcare infrastructure.

In addition to healthcare, Governor Sani highlighted infrastructural challenges in education, with over 1,500 schools lacking proper fencing in eight frontline local government areas. To address this, two business moguls have committed to building fences for 100 schools as part of the Safe School Initiative.

Governor Sani emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritizing healthcare and education, stating that these sectors are essential for the state’s development. He announced plans to commence the hospital remodeling and reconstruction project in the coming days, starting with six selected general hospitals.
