Mazadu made this announcement during the launch of a palliative distribution initiative at Maraban Kajuru in the Kajuru LGA, highlighting the significant impact of bandit activities on local communities.

Mazadu emphasized that the crisis has affected 551 communities, with 134 communities affected in the Chikun LGA, displacing 26,345 individuals, and 84 communities affected in the Birnin Gwari LGA, resulting in 70,893 displaced persons. The displacement crisis spans across several other communities in 12 LGAs, illustrating the widespread nature of the issue.

The distribution of palliatives aims to provide relief to those affected by the crisis and is part of Governor Uba Sani’s seven-point agenda. Mazadu noted that the initiative is part of the administration’s commitment to supporting displaced communities, with the governor allocating N11.4 billion for the palliative program.

This palliative distribution seeks to offer critical support to those uprooted by the violence and instability caused by banditry, demonstrating the government’s efforts to address the humanitarian needs of affected populations.
