I’m In Severe Pain” – Veteran Nollywood Actress Opens Up On Cervical Cancer Battle

Speaking during an interview on actress Biola Adebayo’s Talk to B podcast, Ogundimu revealed that the prolonged health challenge has placed an enormous financial burden on her family. She said her children have exhausted their personal resources to fund her treatment, leaving them unable to adequately cater for themselves.

The veteran actress explained that she had resisted seeking public assistance for a long time but was now left with no alternative due to the worsening condition of her health and the rising cost of treatment. She appealed to Nigerians to come to her aid, expressing hope that she would recover from the life-threatening illness.

Ogundimu also lamented what she described as years of neglect within the Nollywood industry, claiming she had repeatedly reached out to colleagues for acting opportunities without success. She pleaded for forgiveness from anyone she may have offended during her more than three decades in the movie industry, saying she never intended to wrong anyone.

The widowed mother of three, whose husband died in 2012, said her greatest desire is to regain her health and continue living, stressing that the physical pain has become overwhelming and that she now depends on the kindness and support of the public to survive.
