Adamawa Police Nab Two Suspected Robbers, Recover Stolen Honda Accord

The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen 2015 model black Honda Accord, following an intelligence-driven operation.

According to a press release on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects were apprehended in Yola after officers from the Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters, led by SP Abdullahi Abubakar, acted on a credible tip-off.

Nguroje stated that the vehicle, stolen in Sabon Gari, Jalingo (Taraba State) from one Sadisu Umar Sani, had been moved to Yola by the suspects. Upon tracking and confronting them, police arrested Emmanuel Sale, 28, and Jibrilla Hassan, 36, both of whom are residents of Sabon Gari, Jalingo.

The vehicle was successfully recovered and returned to the authorities.

Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, praised the officers for their swift response and ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yola. The department is expected to collaborate with the Taraba State Police Command for further investigations and ensure proper prosecution.

Nguroje reaffirmed the police command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property and commended the synergy among the security units working across state lines to combat crime.
