The announcement was made in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, and shared with the press in Uyo. The governor directed that Etukudoh hand over to the Commissioner for the Ministry of Power, who will temporarily oversee the company’s operations.

Governor Eno expressed gratitude for Etukudoh’s service and wished him success in his future endeavors. The dismissal comes just hours after Etukudoh issued a statement attributing a recent statewide power outage to a dispute between Ibom Power and its gas supplier, Savannah Energy Company.

The governor’s decision to remove Etukudoh is in line with the administration’s ongoing efforts to improve the state’s energy sector as part of the ARISE Agenda.
