APC Youths Demand Sack Of Caretaker Committee (See Why)
The Southeast chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Young Progressives Forum has called for the sack of the Anambra State Caretaker Committee Members led by Chief Basil Ejidike.
The group also called for the immediate resignation of the Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) over its failure to resolve contentious issues in the party in many states across the country.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Paschal Candle, the group regretted the poor showing of the party in the Anambra Gubernatorial election where APC came a disgraceful third position in an election it had every chance of winning.

The statement read in part: “The State Caretaker Working Committee of the Party in Anambra State should honourably resign from their offices and make way for Anambra APC to have a genuine reconciliation of party members, leaders and build a stronger party that is capable of winning elections.
“The State Caretaker Working Committee should also do a proper account of how they manage State Covid-19 fund donations, a donation to the party by aspirants in the build-up to the primary.
“Failure to do so, EFCC should be invited to look into the books of the party in the State. Enoughisenough. InAnambra, we must not continue with the old order.
“On the basis of the above and many others too numerous to mention, Chief Ejidike led Caretaker Committee should tender their resignation letters for their glaring failures in managing the affairs of the party.
“Failure to do that the committee should be immediately dissolved and a new committee whosetaskwillbetoimmediately conduct the State Congress of the party and to foster good relations with our party leaders”.
The group also called on President Buhari to seriously look into who is the right leader to lead APC in South East.
“The choice of Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma as a Leader of APC in South East is a serious indictment on the party.
“It is unacceptable to us. We have leaders who can do a lot to reposition the Party in South East. We need a Leader who can bring other Leaders and Stakeholders together; definitely, we do not see that in Imo State Governor.
“We urge The Governor to desist from his futile bid in marginalizing other southeast leaders of our great party. He should rather face governance in Imo State and provide the dividends of democracy for Imo people
