Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed Ready To Work With Peter Obi To Unseat APC in 2027

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has declared his willingness to collaborate with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, and other politicians to remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in the 2027 general election.

Speaking on Thursday while receiving Peter Obi at the Bauchi State Presidential Lodge, Governor Bala described Obi as a strong opposition leader, expressing admiration for his political approach.

“I, myself, am ready to work with Peter Obi to make sure that we bring good governance to the country in a manner that will recover our country from the mediocre that are parading themselves as leaders,” Governor Bala stated.

He emphasized that the time has come for Nigerian politicians to unite sincerely and with focus to challenge the APC’s hold on power. The Bauchi governor also revealed that several of his fellow governors are aligning and re-aligning politically to wrest power from the ruling party in 2027.

Peter Obi, on his part, stated that his visit to Bauchi was aimed at discussing Nigeria’s future and seeking collaboration with Governor Bala, who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum.

“I’m in Bauchi State to discuss the issues of our dear country and also to consult with Governor Bala as he is a critical figure in Nigerian politics,” Obi said.
